Walid is the CEO and Co-founder of Hala Insurance, an Insurtech startup born in the UAE with a goal to provide affordable, simple, and quick insurance to 450 million people living in the Middle East. Prior to Hala, Walid and his co-founders ran Addenda, a B2B Insurtech that utilized the blockchain to reconcile 30,000,000 AED between insurers across the GCC. Before starting his own venture, he worked in insurance as a loss adjuster, assessing large scale insurable catastrophes.
